XP32 - 7 64 Student DL

Apologies upfront if this issue has been solved elsewhere but i have not yet been able to spot the same set of circumstances, anyway, to business:

I have seemingly successfully downloaded win7 from digital river and have managed to "Open the box" to get the extended setup folder (with an error message at the end but i gather this is fairly normal).
From there i have been using one of the tutorials to make an ISO out of the folder and put that onto a USB stick through various methods, so far the furthest i have got through installation is choosing languages and Once the install attempts to start i get an error concerning the install.wim file and can not proceed any further (file size is 2.66gb if anyone wants to compare to a working one), i have redownloaded the whole thing once, used various methods of writing the ISO to the USB stick (4gb) including the windows 7 usb dvd download tool.

I'm currently at a loss as to where the problem lies in the list of events and if anyone else could suggest something to try i would appreciate it.

Are you trying to do an ugrade within XP or a clean install

If it is the former than you can't do an inplace upgrade over XP with 7...you will need a clean install

The latter? Can you tell us what error message did you get
