| | Upgrade from Vista HP64 to 7 Pro64? I was  to find that I couldn't do an in place upgrade from Vista Home Premium (64-bit) to 7 Professional (64-bit) after I'd already bought Professional. It seems  that I can do an in place upgrade to either 7 HP or 7 Ultimate, but they skipped over Pro.Is there some workaround for this, or failing that some way to reliably back up my applications and data? I have already either upgraded the incompatible software, or uninstalled it, so I only have compatible software left on my Vista HP64 system. |

| | Why not just back up your data, install the new OS, and then install your apps and restore your data? If a person can't do this manually, then it might be a good idea to have a friend look over your shoulder while doing this. |
