Okay, burned. I am burning the iso to the flash drive. Forgive me if I don't know all of the lingo.

Uploading iso to flash drive ? What are you talking about.

The iso file gets burned to the flash stick, not uploaded.

Delete all the partitions. During the install, trust me.

Have you got the iso file burned to the flash drive yet ?

What program did you use to burn the iso file to the flash drive ?

Okay, I just tried the Acer Windows 7 Upgrade Disk and I received a black screen with the message: BOOTMGR is missing

Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart

So I think I'm gonna try once more with the flash drive and if that doesn't work I'm calling it a night.

Upgrade Disk - Well, perhaps it might work now that I have reformatted all three partitions.

I'll be sure and post an update before I call it a night. Yes, of course I want your help. I'm really sorry this is taking so long. I'm hoping now that I have all three partitions formatted things will begin to fall into place and we can all get on with our lives. Thanks again.

I didn't know you stopped trying.
But right now I need to know what you have already done, what instructions you followed, what steps were executed. If you want my help, I'm willing to pick this up tomorrow. But we've spent 4 hours and the best thng I can say that we accomplished is that we both had dinner.

I'm out for tonight. I'll read your reply tomorrow.

    Goodnight arayfo1

    Delete or reformat?

Yes, the flash drive is now ready.

I used the Windows DVD/USB Download tool referenced in the tutorial.

Might I strongly suggest you try one method and stick with it. Any one that has been given you will work. When you flip-flop between them is when you get in trouble.

Delete ALL the partitions if you don`t have any data on them, choose drive options to delete them.

It should look like step 7 and should say unallocated space. Just like the picture. You only have 1 hard drive connected right ?

We started out with the flash drive 2 weeks ago, and I thought he was done.

Okay, I'll try it but I'm beginning to think the flash drive itself is the issue (despite formatting it each time).

The USB device may be defective, just try the DVD disk.

That is I'll try it if I ever get that far again without having an error.
