Now this is really getting me mad...
I get to step 10, waiting for the final part of the install and I get a black screen with me only being able to see my cursor move.
Custom Install Windows 7
I don't get to see step 11... What the hell is going on...? I re-burned the iso at 2x and did everything right............

I see you don't know what motherboard you have installed. Did you buy your computer from Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc? If so, what model did you buy?
-
The computer is from HP. Its an AMD Athlon X2 7550.

Are you using retail Win7? You get MS excellent tech support with this. If it is upgrade from your manufacturer they will support it.

I'd like to call, but I got it from Digital River. The student copy and it's professional. What do you suggest?

Until a member more proficient than me helps you out, you can check some basics.
If you are upgrading (v clean install) are you sure that you are eligible for upgrade ( you do not have XP or a Vista Edition not eligible for upgrade)?
Do you have enough free space on your partition?
Enough memory?
Are you sure you are upgrading 64 bit to 64 bit or 32 to 32?
I have the factory image and then I have my C: drive. I installed on my C: Drive, it has 600GB free memory. I was on vista premium 64 bit to professional 64 bit. Should i take out 3 sticks of ram and keep one 2GB one in and install vista again and put my disc in again to re install?

On step 11 did you ever see the screen windows is setting up your desktop for the first time? or just the black screen with a blinking mouse cursor?
I feel yoour pain about digital diver I have been dealing with crashes and boxes and its just so much fun. Lets see if we can make some progress while we are waiting for them to get their act together
If you can try to do a safeboot by hitting F8 repeated when rebooting. If you can get to desktop in safe mode it tells us that something in the normal mode is hosed. thats easier to fix.
Let us know the results and let me know if you need help with that
