wanted to install 64-bit Windows 8

I have some basic questions
1 - i wanted to install a windows 8 in 64 bit in my system but it said that it could not install in drive c because that format is mbr and windows only can install in gpt.why?
2 - after convert all of my hard to gpt and install the win8 , i checked the partitions again by the acronis disk direcor but it said the hard is still in mdr format , why?
3 - is it possible to convert one a partitions of my hard(for example the E drive) to the gpt and then install the windows on that?
