If you do a google search for that error code you will find a lot of info.
Several, including a Microsoft TechNet thread suggests using a different burning program rather than the built in Windows burning. Most suggest using Imgburn (what I have used and never had a problem with ISO's).
Give Imgburn a try, its a very popular and free burning program. The only caution, a lot of the freeware now has extra programs, toolbars, antivirus, etc that will install if you are not observant. Uncheck these.
Download ImgBurnSoftReviews.co
I am ready to use image burn but cannot figure which one to use , I looked at help and I'm still confused.
Thank you
Which what to use ?
If you want to burn an iso image you choose, "write image file to disc"
If you still get an error message, then you have a bad iso file
I see that iso file you have can be obtained directly from Digital River and also from bit torrent. As AddRAM notes it could be a bad iso file, especially if it came from a bit torrent link.
I used digital river but now I'm getting the following screenshot, when I insert brand new discs to burn it goes into erasure mode even when the discs are empty and brand new.
What DVD discs are you using? Do you have a different brand/type that you can try?
Has the DVD burner ever worked?
Try burning some data from the PC. Doesn't matter what data it is, just to see if the drive works. It will eat up a DVD disc but it will tell you if the drive works.,
Here's what happens when I insert disc , it says starting format but shows erasing , these are brand new empty discs .
It gets to 72% and freezes.
I don't recall any formatting when burning a disc. You shouldn't be using RW type discs. You should use either DVD-R or DVD+R discs.
