    Windows 7 dual boot

Is it reasonable to dual boot Windows 7 64 bit with Windows 7 32 bit? I'm currently using Win 7 Pro x64 but I need to use a 32 bit OS for my school work. I need 32bit for gcc to work. I have an empty partition where I can put the 32bit OS btw.

Sure. Go for it. There are great tutorials and forum users that will help a lot if you run into problems.

But first, what's this GCC? Is it a compiler of some sort? Maybe there's a way to get it to run on x64.

Yeah it's a compiler. I'm currently learning C Programming in school and we use GCC to compile. I saw in the internet that GCC only works on 32bit.
