When it says adapter does that mean something on the motherboard. Any help would be appreciated. The graphics on my motherboard are sis mirage. adapter sis761. sis compatable. driver version 6.14.10.3930. 3200 athlon.

Please download speccy. Speccy - System Information - Free Download This will make it easier for everyone to understand your full system specs eg motherboard psu etc, just my preference of viewing system specs.

Windows 7 system requirements - Microsoft Windows These are the windows 7 specs although they say 1gb is fine for 32bit id highly recommend 2gb and as they say 2gb for 64bit id recommend 4gb.
You have less that 1gb so that will surely need upgraded, your GPU doesn't support windows 7 therefore a new gpu is needed.

Please fill out your system specs using speccy and il get back to you once they are posted.

Also please dont bump threads unless its been a few days here, were all normal people with normal lives lol, cheers

I have a dell d610 that has a 64mb dedicated memory and, for some reason, does indeed run aero when 128mb dedicated memory is required. upgrade your gpu to 128mb dedicated and upgrade your ram to at least 2 GB. if you have a USB thumb drive, use that as "ready boost" to help your speed. I really enjoy my win 7 pro on my pretty old dell that's fast and safe. I also have virtual pc and xp mode installed as well for my really old programs. Which computer do you have? you mal also do a simple cpu upgrade for cheap and easy...good luck....when you decide what win 7 version you like. {suggest win 7 pro) I really like the DIGISOFT store where you download ISO and get a legit key for less than 70 dollars....
    good luck
