What is the manufacturer and full model number of the computer? It's quite likely there is a Recovery partition on the hard drive you can use to restore to Factory new state. The Users Manual for your computer will tell you how to do this.

       Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

You can order Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from your OEM manufacturer's website.

Why don't you make an image of your current system. Then you can always go back to that.

When you do a factory restore, it takes you back to the day you bought it (figuratively), of course Windows 7 will still be there, that`s the operating system that came with the pc.

It will restore what ever OS the laptop came with.

Make the recovery discs as theog said and/or do an image backup as whs said, then do the recovery.

You can install Windows using a flash drive.

What operating system originally came with the laptop ?

It will tell you on the COA.

Download the licensed version listed on that COA sticker from Step 1 and write to flash stick installer with tool from Step 2 of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then follow those steps to get and keep a perfect install.
