Can i install windows 8 with intel pentium processor ?

I have 'Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual Core E2200 2.20GHz' processor. Can i install windows 8 with this processor?
I also wanted to know what is NX. Because when i had run windows upgrade assistant it showed me 'You can't install Windows 8.1 because your processor doesn't support NX.'

I am not 100% certain what nx is; however; your system most likely has to meet a minimum number of requirements in order to install windows 8.1. From the looks of it your processor might be a a bit too old or out of date to install 8.1.

You should be okay if you go with 32 bit rather than 64 bit. That was the case with my Dell Precision 370 which had 3.4Ghz Pentium 4 1 Core, 2 Logical Processors.

I was able to run 64bit Windows 8 but not 8.1,
