'This copy of Windows is not activated.' when it is...

I get this message in System Properties. However, when I run slmgr -dlv, winver and slmgr -xpr, they all show as licensed and activated. This was a clean install of Windows 7 (2 days ago). Oh and when I run Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostics Tool, it shows Windows as 'Genuine.' So how do I make it so System Properties shows activated. It's bugging me but I can run the computer as I normally do.

Well, it shows an OEM version with your full name.

Was it an OEM install? Was there any special procedure you had to use to install that and did you follow it?

I have never run an OEM install, so I do not know what it normally looks like.

First thought that comes to mind is to click "This copy of Windows is not activated. Click here to activate Windows now."

    Did you try that?

If so and no good, you can run slmgr /rilc to attempt to re-install system license files. If that doesn't do it, you can run slmgr /upk to uninstall your product key and start over with the whole activation process.

    Problem gone!

Thanks torrentg, it worked. I restarted my computer a couple of times afterwards and guess what? The problem is now gone! slmgr -dlv now shows Home Premium and the activation message is gone.
