    Windows 7 Freezing During Install

I recently uninstalled windows 8 from my Toshiba Satellite laptop and installed the latest Ubuntu Linux. I don't like it. So I completely deleted it. I reformatted the hard drive to ntfs and now there is only one partition, which is ntfs. I went into bios and changed the boot order to boot the discussion drive. I put in my windows 7 discuss and booted it. I pressed a key when it said to press any key to continue. It comes up with the windows loading screen and then the colored dots pop up and turn into the squares. That is it. It just freezes and doesn't load any further. I don't know what to do.

Well not having much to do with Enterprise Emperor I don't know the ins and outs if it.

But try this Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 you will need to use the original activation code as it is tied to that motherboard.

It means of course you will have to run through all the updates again and if you want my advise what it is worth when it it has settled down set the updates to what I do and download them in small batches that way any sudden slow down or crash can be easily identified and the offending update Hidden by right clicking on it and "Hide" then carry on,
This will of course get rid of all that wretched Toshiba crapware and believe me my Toshy/s are so much better for it.

How is it you're using Enterprise which is for large organizations administered by an IT department? Which OS came with the laptop? I would reinstall that using the installer provided in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Hum maybe Greg he has bought an old machine when they sold them off? All the same it is hard to see why the OP would need Enterprise. I agree that an ordinary OEM would have been the best option.

It has been a while, but I have figured out the problem. My laptop came preinstalled with Windows 8 and was running in UEFI BIOS mode. I saw this in bios and changed it to CSV and it worked flawlessly. Thank you for all the suggestions though.
