Clean install Win7 on refurb Lenovo K450

    hello,

i just bought this factory refurbished Lenovo K450 desktop i5 4th gen quad core 3.0ghz, 8gb ram, 1tb seagate 7200rpm. it came preloaded with Win8, which not only do i hate, but not all of the software i use is compatible. I make music, edit video and do graphic design, so i use programs like Cubase, Reason, Premier, Vegas, Adobe CS. I am on a seriously tight budget as a full time college student on financial aid and father of 2, so the price for the specs on this refurb was a great deal for me. 500 bucks on ebay.

I have been quite savvy with computers for well over 15 years now. mostly Mac, but for economic reasons i recently made the switch to windows and i have not regretted it. XP and 7 have been good to me thus far. However, I have finally run into something that has seriously stumped me. That is downgrading from 8 to 7.

I am unsure exactly how to set the BIOS. And I'm not sure, do i boot the dvd as legacy or uefi? I know I have to disable secure boot. and set bot mode to legacy right? what else am I overlooking? I keep getting error code 0x80070570. I have to figure out soon whether it is something I'm doing wrong or something wrong with the machine so that i can return it to the seller within 30 days. He swears there is nothing wrong with it and i did run a lot of diagnostics and found it passed in every which way. I do get a blue screen crash that says memory_management.

someone please point me in the right direction. Lenovo won't help me unless i pay them because i downgraded. And the seller tried to help me on the phone but he has a very thick Asian accent and i can not understand a word he says. I can not afford to spend any more money and i hae to be able to get back to work on some serious projects soon.

Well, well... i just figured out how to press f10 and run a lenovo diagnostic. the memory failed! i just emailed the seller and let him know he has a few options. send me new ram, pay the shipping to send it back for him to fix it, exchange it or issue a full refund. thanks anyway y'all. i knew i know what i'm doing. i've been messing with computers for far too long to have been going this crazy simply installing an os!!!

What is the key on the COA sticker on the bottom. Is that a Win7 or a Win8 key.

On a Lenovo G500 I did a Win7 install with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums when Legacy proved to be impossible to achieve.

In the BIOS setup Boot tab:

Boot Mode set to Legacy Support,
    Boot Priority UEFI First
    USB Boot Enabled
    EFI
    Windows Boot manager

    Boot Device Priority
    Internal HDD

Boot installation media using the F12 button. If using flash stick write ISO using Option One in UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows
