Should I make an Administrator Password?

I've had Windows 7 setup about 1 week now on my computer. Sometimes I will have pop-up boxes that say Administrator privledges are required....blah blah blah. But I just click on continue and I'm OK.

When I was using XP, (I had a genuine copy OEM copy I paid for) when I would get a virus I tried to insert my XP OEM disk and do a repair. I was always stopped because one of the steps was to enter my administrator password. I'm wondering if I will have the same issues with Windows 7. Let's say I want to do a "System Restore" or even copy and image to a new hard drive after a hard drive failure. When I insert my Windows 7 disk (genuine OEM copy) or my Windows 7 repair disk that I have made, am I going to be stopped by "Enter your Administrator password"? Thanks.

I have never been ask for the Adm password when doing a System Restore. I have only used the Repair Install one time, but I don't think it asked me either. I don't have an Admin password or any kind of password on mine and have not run into a problem.

I have never had a password on any of my computers, with Win7 I don't have one either, I just click "continue" when the UAC box pops up. There's just my wife and I and she has her own computer so really no need I can see for a separate admin password.

I've had to perform a restore to previous time several times and have never needed to enter a password, I used the "restore to previous image" function to put my existing Win7 installation on a new SSD and didn't need a password. You should be good to go the way you are right now.

Administrator Password
Is it possible to make an administrator password without making another user? For example, I just want to have an administrator password to type into a box whenever I get prompted for one when I try to do a task that requires administrator rights.

Hello everybody, I am a very happy user from Windows7, but the only thing, that I hate, are the Administrator rights.
