    boot disc

tried to find a suitable forum so hope this is okay

I think I've got myself a "Boot Disc" - the ISO file - the size is 3.09 GB - there's 10 files on it

    boot
    efi
    sources
    support
    upgrade
    autorun.inf
    bootmgr
    bootmgr.efi
    setup.exe

and desktop.ini shown as "ready to be written to the disc"
do i have the right disc?

if I have the need to use the disc, what exactly do I do?

I've read and copied the tutorial to USB drive so should be okay but just curious

You can also use it to repair Win7 from System Recovery Options.

How did you burn the ISO to disk exactly? It requires an image burner.

can't remember - maybe Media Player? or Macrium? seems to be okay though from comments (or lack of)

What comments? Did you download a torrent? Use the official ISO for your licensed version from Step 1 of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 burned to DVD with the tool in Step 2.

It will not boot if it's not burned to the disk with an image burner.

    Hi "gregrocker"
comments like, clean install W7 - repair w7 (yours)

How did you burn the ISO to disk exactly? - I got the info from the MS website, but as noted I don't remember exactly how - when the process was done I was so chuffed I'd done it - my bios setting is for cd/dvd 1st so ran it and I only stopped when the prompt was "install now" - figured all was good - I tried another reboot just now and all seems ok, I stopped it again at "install now"
thanks guys, great forum and help is outstanding - if you can get dummies like me to play the expert gotta be good -- cheers Maurylen
