I was just consulted on by a teacher who had a student that purchased Win7 and just received it in the mail. It was an upgrade, he couldn't find a product key. He was wondering if your current os's product key doubled as your 7 key. I would assume it wouldn't, and he just over looked Microsoft's master of disguise product keys.
It is on the back of a card insert in the case.
I don't like the fact that you can buy an Upgrade OS and install it as a standalone.
What's the difference between that and the actual full W7?

Exactly. I think MS is just glad that people are buying anything from them in this environment and are letting people willing to do the work have a little break.
Plus, the old Vista "upgrade over upgrade" workaround continues to work because the second Upgrade meets the criteria of having an underlying OS and a valid key.
So is it cheaper or more expensive to buy the Upgrade version? You haven't asnwered the question.
oook..so it makes no sense to pay more for 'full version' if there is no difference between the two?
