    Now this is driving me crazy !! It's asking me for the product key which is on the box sticker .. I'm putting it in and it's telling me its not valid ???? It's the only product key I have ever had and used on this computer !!!! Phhhh ....

    If you are installing from a burned ISO, you should be using a 25 character product key that came from a sticker on the laptop.

    Not from a box.

    Did you install from burned ISO that you downloaded? If so, downloads don't have a box.

    It should have this form: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

    That's 5 groups of 5 characters.

    If you are installing from a purchased ready-to-go disk of some type, then we have to get into disk's pedigree.


    Such as:

    Have you ever successfully installed from this disk before?

    Did you get it from Ebay? Newegg? Amazon? Craig's list? A friend? Found it in the street?

    Just leave it blank for now, you can work out what ever the problem is later. Probably a mis-typed character.

    I do not know what an Iso is ... All I have done is used my BOUGHT windows 7 ultimate disk in the black windows box . This came with 2 disks . One in 32 bit the other in 64 bit .

    The product key is 5 groups if 5 though and I've tried it about 10 times and its not recognising it ... It's the only one ive ever used and I am typing them in carefully too !!!
