Windows 7: clean install with 2 HD question

I have 2 internal HD C & E RAID 0 900GB and 700GB with Vista OS Home premium 64bit and 1 External HD 500GB.I want to do a clean install with Windows 7 home premium 64 bit (upgrade), what is the best aproach to do this? can I move all my programs and files to E and then install Windows 7 on C? do I need to format C first? please help a noob!

Maybe you should explain what you want the final configuration to be. Is the RAID still going to be active, etc.

I do not run a RAID so I can't help much, except if you are going to run a RAID, have a driver ready and it you are not, you will need to change it in the bios. I don't even know how to un-RAID----

Would RAID redundancy really be necessary with Windows 7 Backup Imaging? My external is plugged in and always backing drive image and files when Windows 7 idle.
