Serious: Windows 7 black screen during install on new build

Hi guys, last night I ran into a baffling problem, hopefully someone more experienced can shed some light on it.

    Build (all brand new parts):
    ASUS P8B75-M and i5 3570
    1x 8GB Kingston DDR3-1333
    Using onboard iGP HDMI output
    1x Kingston V300 120GB
    3x WD Red 3TB
    1x PS/2 keyboard
    1x USB mouse
    Seasonic 550W Gold

    Problem:
Created bootable Win7 x64 image using Rufus in NTFS format for UEFI+BIOS on 8GB thumb drive
Select boot from flash drive using boot device selection menu
Appear screen "Windows is loading files"
Appear Windows 7 logo animation beginning
Immediately after (before logo animation is complete) screen is blanked (but still on)
No response thereafter, no HDD activity either.

Obviously I googled this and it seems like half the universe is having this stupid issue.

    Already tried:
    Load Optimized Defaults
    SATA IDE and AHCI modes
    Disable secure boot
    Disable quick boot
    Disable intelligent fan control
Graphics option Auto and iGP modes
CSM set to Legacy and UEFI modes
    Connecting a different keyboard
Connecting a VGA display instead of HDMI TV
Connecting flash drive to rear ports
    Disconnecting all drives except SSD
    Disconnecting all drives
Burning Windows image to another flash drive
Starting Windows install in safe mode

    What should I do now?

Are you booting the USB installer in UEFI mode?

My USB flash drive is listed simply as "SANDISK 8192MB" without any "UEFI" prefix. What do I do now?

You will need a USB drive installer which is UEFI bootable.

    Hi theog,

I'm not sure I fully understand your message. Do you mean a UEFI-bootable flash drive or a UEFI-bootable burning software?

For what it's worth I just tried reformatting the flash drive using Microsoft's official Windows 7 USB tool to no joy.

The MS Tool will not make a UEFI bootable USB drive.

Try using a Windows 7 x64 DVD in a DVD drive.

The image I'm using was ripped from a retail disc (Win7 Ultimate x64) using Imgburn couple years back before my household abandoned optical media. I have an old IDE DVD drive but it will not go into this system because the board doesn't have such interface. I've been using this image for multiple installs over the years, couple times for friends even and they used their own codes (pretty much like the Digitalriver ISOs) without a hitch.

Is there some way to simply use BIOS instead of all this high tech gee whiz technobabble?

Use a Genuine Microsoft Windows 7 x64 DVD not a copy, as we see this problem when using a copy.

    Hi

What is the original reason behind this re-installation attempt ? ( Windows won't load , Hanging or crashing etc). If currently installed OS also shows similar behavior, you might be dealing with a hardware issue here.

    Build (all brand new parts):
My mistake, i should have read your post carefully.

    Please try the below steps.

    1. Prepare your USB drive using DISKPART ( manual way ) instead of "Rufus".

USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

    2. Enter BIOS setup and load "Optimized Defaults" to revert the changes made.

    3. Plug the USB in to a "USB 2.0" port ( USB 3 won't work with 7 ) and press F8 to access the boot menu. Select your USB drive with UEFI option as the boot drive ( as shown in Serious: Windows 7 black screen during install on new build ).
