Problems after a clean windows 7 install

Yesterday I performed a clean windows 7 install on my fathers HP pavillion desktop PC. It had originally vista.
During installing the screen became black, but when I unplugged the HDMI cabel which is for the LCD TV, the black screen dissapeared and the install could be completed. If I plug in the HDMI cabel again now, the screen becomes black in some seconds and then the screen shows the clean windows 7 bacground without any program icons or taskbar. How can this be fixed?

    The second problem:

If one of the original screensavers included in the windows 7 is used, it works. But if I try to use the gphotoshow screensaver, which I have used many years on other PCs, a popup appears on a black screen where it stands "please insert a disc into K drive". If I then press ENTER, the gphotoshow screensaver works. As long as I dont press ENTER, the popup continues to appear on the black screen without the gphotoshow

The popup as it looks: Problems after a clean windows 7 install-uten-navn-1.png
Norwegian language, but its just to show how it looks

    Info:

    32-bits
    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 dual core processor 6000+ 3.00Ghz
Installed memory: 4.00GB(3,50 GB can be used)
The windows.old, windows.old.001 and windows.old.002 have been removed via disc cleanup

Where did you get the Win7 installation media? I would start over with the latest official installer for your licensed version in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then follow those steps closely to get and keep a perfect install.

If you had two windows.old folders then you've not had a real clean install on the PC which is done by booting the Win7 installer, deleting all partitions to get it cleanest.

Scan your backup data and program installers with Malwarebytes and your AV before reimporting to make sure they are not infected.

Install with a VGA monitor, later plug in the TV you wish to use as a monitor and observe it's driver loading the bottom right System tray. It may wish to go online to Windows Update to get the driver. But if you're following the best practices in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 it will already have enabled to Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3)

I got the windows 7 from a serious shop in Norway. It is OEM.

I changed the name of the K disc to R disc and the problem with gphotoshow disappeared, it works well now

The only problem left now is the HDMI cabel. I updated the nvidia geforce driver, so thats up to date

Im home now, but will visit my dad in some weeks and try the advices
