    200 MB Hidden system partition

    On reading the above post I decided to dig a bit deeper as I could not explain why Windows seven sometimes makes a 200 mb Hidden System Partition. This is what I found;

    Hi,

    Not sure how Winre can only take up 32mb - look at how big it is in the Recovery folder.

    The 200mb Partition is for storing the boot-loader, start-up recovery and system restore points.. I think its a good idea to let WIn7 keep it on a separate partition so it doesn't get affected by problems affecting the main OS partition

    I agree with you on this. My problem is why it doesn't always happen or at least why you do not get the option during install
