Windows 7 installation from USB problem

    Hi,

    Samsung NP530U3C - A09UK
    Intel i3

I bought an ultra book off a friend that was running Ubuntu OS. I'm not comfortable with linux so have decided to put windows 7 back on to it, but am having some trouble.

The ultrabook has a 500GB HDD, with a 24GB cache SSD as it was originally bought with windows 8. I am trying to install windows 7 onto the 500gb HDD a i've read that 24GB isnt enough space. I used ImgBurn to get the ISO and then put the ISO file onto my USB using microsofts software.

When installing windows 7 I get to the point when the System wants to reboot perfectly. After this the system then boots back into the installation files on the USB. So I change the boot priority in my BIOS, to make the HDD boot first, which should now how the OS on it, and it does not let me. I have included a video, rather than try to explain, and also have showed my BIOS setting in case anything looks wrong.

To clarify the problem is that once installing the OS , I cannot boot into the drive it is installed on. The boot menu appears on boot, and my HDD appears but when selecting it nothing happens.???

When Installing from a USB drive, once the installation process starts its first reboot disconnect the USB drive the installation will complete and boot from your HD.

Thanks for reply but when I take the usb out I then get a boot menu which displays tha HDD windows 7 should be on . However selecting this option in boot menu simply takes me back to boot menh so I assume its not recognising something....

Follow these steps to preserve the SSD cache you paid for: Install Windows on System with MSATA and ISRT
