    W7 Repair Install questions

I was told by several techies that I need to do a repair (upgrade) install to fix a couple of issues that I'm having. This is what I have run into. My C: drive is a 300 Gb SSD. I got the drive all pepped (I had 97.5 Gb free and ran install. It worked for a long time until the very end when it died saying there was not enough disk space to continue. I freed up some space by uninstalling some programs. I intend to reinstall those when the install is done. I ran the disk cleanup utility and a fe3w other tricks to squeeze out a few Gb. So, I ended up with 104.4 Gb free. Ran the repair install again. It got closer to the end but it still died at the very end. 104 Gb and it "almost" made it. How do I do a repair install with what I have or can I? Or what can I do to gain a few more Gb on that drive?
    Any comments or suggestions welcome.
    Tnx,
    Dusty

After running CCleaner run the Win7 defragger.

Type msconfig into start Search box, on Startup tab and Services tabs (after hiding all MS Services) uncheck everything to run a completely clean boot. Later you''ll want to go back to check your AV, but I'd turn it off.
