I can't restore to factory default.

I am restoring my Windows 7 64-bit PC to factory default and I keep getting the following message:

    Code:
The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot complete. To install Windows, click "0K" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.
The PC doesn't have a CD drive, but I have The Ultimate Boot CD on SD card

Are you trying to run Gateway Support - Full Factory Recovery from it's hotkey at boot, rather than from the OS?

If that fails and you can boot the OS you can try to add the Recovery partition to a Dual Boot menu manually using Boot Recovery Partition using EasyBCD .

If these all fail then you'll get a much better install anyway doing a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 . Everything needed is in the blue link, and will result in obtaining and maintaining a perfect install.
