What is missing exactly that is needed? None of those are needed, just conflict with better versions built into Win7.

What's in the Asus folder, installers for more Asus crapware?
Oh yeah, that's what I have noticed, dumb question isn't it? But why is f9 not working? Is it related to bios configuration?
P.s I have updated bios once via winflash

When you Factory Recovery from F9 it doesn't reinstall the Recovery partition (because its running) so the hotlink is not restored. Only if you Recovery from the disks will it reinstall the Recovery partition and restore its hotlink. But if you make Recovery media now it will not have the hotlink in it. So to Recover again you need to use the same method.

You can keep the Dual Boot config we showed you how to create with Recovery but hide it by setting Win7 as default and unchecking timeout in Default Operating System - Change Default Boot OS - Windows 7 Forums. However it would not then be available if Win7 fails to boot and repair, so I would keep it at a 5 second timeout. You can rename it Recovery in EasyBCD>Edit OS.

Hi

Shortcuts looks normal to me (There won't be many shortcuts in Desktop ). Usually there will be a trial version of MS Office, an AV program and some OEM created utilities like the Asus vibe, Asus instant connect etc. There might be some additional software on the start menu.

"F9" may need the original partition structure to work. As an alternative you can create system image backup which can be used to restore the system in similar situations.

Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Btw, didn't noticed Greg's reply - Parallel posting.

I agree that you should rely going forward on a backup image stored externally in case Win7 becomes irreparable, but first I would Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

Ok what if I copied all partition files to usb then booted from it without using easybc, would the hotlink work again?

You ignored that the easiest solution to this is saving a Win7 backup image externally of your completed setup, preferably after its been cleaned up but before it has a chance to become corrupted: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup
System Image Recovery

You can also try to make Recovery Disks if your model offers it. Read the Manual on the Asus Support Downloads webpage.

Lol, after it becomes corrupted, that is something suspicious, anyways, it doesn't support because if it is then it would come with the other bloatwares, anyhow thanks also are you saying making a back up imahe then restore from it would make the hotlink come again?

No the hotlink won't come back unless someone can relink it for you, which is extremely complicated on UEFI which is still fairly new to us and different for ever model.

The backup image is a more reliable way to backup your OS and can be customized first so if Win7 becomes irreparable you can boot the Win7 disk to Recover from image in 20 minutes and have your own personalized install and not just the Asus bloated mess.

I would first Clean Up Factory Bloatware. Establishing a Clean Boot alone will free Win7 of a dozen useless freeloaders starting on its back. This is not even the native Win7 OS with this crap riding on its back.

Here is the download link to official user manual : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/...K55VS_Z104.pdf

According to the manual, there are three recovery options available.

Recover Windows to first partition only , Recover Windows to entire HD and Recover Windows to entire HD with two partitions.

You should try Recover Windows to entire HD. May be "F9" functionality might be restored after that.

Nice, thanks man I think if al recover disk is supported for my model, it would relink it for me but sadly no
One more question let's say f9 is working for me and I have used, does this mean it will corrupt and not work?
