Did you try the Snipping tool?

Oh, snap! Forgot about that! So far, the manual installs are Successful, except for one. I will continue on this path until done. Then I can snip whatever's left that won't install for your review.

But let me ask this: when faced with over 40 Updates that are generically described as "Update for Windows...." should I install them by their Issued Date? In that order, oldest first, or is that a waste of time?

Never mind, Gary. I'm doing them in order in groups of 5. So far, 3 bad apples....

What is the exact. Updates failure error? Most can be resolved by googling their verbatim text.

Are there Updates queued with a yellow ! mark on the Shutdown button when failure occurs? These are sometimes only cleared by Shutting Down and all others may fail until then.

Thanks, Greg. Almost finished. Yes, understand the Shut Down part. Almost finished (20 to go). Let me wrap it up and see what's left, error messages and all.

Did you already install all Optional to include drivers? Make sure since they may have failed and contribute to failure. You'll need everything except Bing.

I trust you enabled hardware updating first per Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

OK, attached are the updates that won't install. They all have the same error code: 800B0100. And yes, Greg, I double checked and the device settings are set to install drivers automatically. I have one more step to perform: Shut Down to finish installing updates. After this shutdown, I'll check for updates again and report back.
P.S. I did NOT install the graphics card update. Saving for later.

Were Updates queued on Shutdown button as described?

What Display driver is presently installed?

My last Shutdown experience yielded 4 more updates, installed successfully. But the Shutdown grabbed ALL in the queue, including the graphics card update that I was postponing --- which in turn prompted me to download and install their driver. I am still in the midst of that. After completed, I will check once more for any new updates. Please wait until I finish this to see exactly where we are, OK? Thanks.

You should try the Updates drivers first before importing any others like its XP. This can cause problems. Updates issues are one in a million. You pretty clearly had a clog that is often cleared by Shutdown if queued on Shutdown button.
