Problems installing Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 5740dg

Hello. I am a relatively average user a few months back my gf's laptop started to give me randomly blue screens and it restarted.
Recently i had some free time to get into it and tried to format & install windows 7 again when i came across some weird problems.
    First things first.My specs
    Acer Aspire 5740DG
    CPU intel core i5 4.30MB 2.26GHz 1066Mhz FSB
    Ati monility radeon HD 5650
    6GB Ram
    Windows 7 x64 ultimate

Whenever i used to try with the DVD or a USB stick(made it bootable), my windows installation could never make it past the part of picking operating system. It was also taking longer than usual on the "starting windows setup". So i got myself into looking for a solution when i came across some threads and posts about disabling FDD and removing any other devices, which in my case,i get no option to enable/disable FDD so i just put it at bottom of the boot list.
Nothing changed though, my next attempt was to make my HDD from ACHI to IDE in BIOS.Yet again it wasnt a problem solver.I've tried BIOS reset on default and still the same.
After looking at it more,I decided that my best course of action was to use the command promp. While on instal windows screen i did "shift & f10" and got into bootrec.exe options. After trying the bootrec /rebuildbcd
i got the following msg: Scanning all disks for Windows installations. Please wait, since this may take a while... Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 0 The operation completed successfully.
then i tried to use the bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup and it couldnt find it,in order to contnue.

Next thing i followed this guide to format my HDD : SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
Got it all except the installation part, which it just wont go past the OS to install,it wont take any click or the enter key-arrow keys both on DVD and USB.
Sorry if im not explaining myself well, im not a native speaker.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    *notes*
-My HDD is online & active
-Both DVD and usb work perfectly
-My Keyboard has keys that dont work after a critical shot of cola, which i cleaned well. But still im using a wireless KB since
-The Bootrec command /ScanOs couldnt find an OS (before i format my hdd)

Well as it happends, so far so good windows is instaling.
The Alt key seemed to cause troubles..i pressed it couple times during the starting setup screen.
So problem was the cola on the laptops kb.And messed up my alt key..i hate cola.
Solved i guess. So much for a damn button...

If you stick with the steps, tools, methods and optimizations compiled in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then you'll get and keep a perfect install for as long as you do.

I would recommend disconnecting the keyboard's flat cable from Mobo. Otherwise the shorted keys may gave you lots of trouble under normal system operation.

As it turns out,it was my laptops "Alt" key causing the mess.
Thanks for your suggestions though. Problem solved, clean as it gets.
    I'll do that Ansdad,thanks!
