    multiple boot options

I'm looking for solution to a problem I recently encountered:

how to prevent windows 7 from making a dualboot when installing on a harddrive with multiple (3) partitions with different Windows installs.

I wanted to install another version of W7 on an empty partition (previously Linux Mint installed), so when installing I assigned that partition but did not expect W7 to make it a dual boot with the already installed version of W7, without me having any options to choose from.

Thing is that I use Master Booter to make a multiple boot (XP, W7 & Linux Mint), always worked perfect ....until I wanted to install another version of W7.

After some search on the internet I found a way to get rid of the unwanted boot item (via msconfig)
And lost the complete install in the process.

Now I am wondering if there is a way to prevent Windows from making this dual boot by itself?

    Glad to help Red.

Let us know how it goes.

You might find this method better to Dual boot Ubuntu-Win7 when you get Win7 started. We only see problems with third-party boot managers.
