Files left after install

Did clean install on second drive and today noticed a bunch of CAB files on my C drive which I believe were put there from the expanding file install process. File with names and dates like AUG2006x64. cab etc etc

SPace not a problem but can I safely delete the files?

Thanks
Bill

Normally the installer cleans up after itself as one of the last steps, so you shouldn't have a lot of junk left over.

Do a disk cleanup and see if that gets rid of them - one of the categories is temporary files.

Thanks I forgot to check that.

It doesnt specifically show those file names but I guess if I clean up everything it may get rid of them if they are temps.

Thanks again
