According to the manufacturer, it's 32GB. I definitely have not unRAIDed in BIOS, it's still set to IRST. I was under the impression that the 8GB was RAM, but if that makes no sense, sorry. According to this, the laptop has a 32GB SSD.

If your goal is to reinstall then follow the tutorials for reinstalling to MSATA.

I think you are right. 8GB sounds more like the size of RAM. You can check that in Control Panel\System and Security\System. It will say under the heading "System".

Yep, I have 8GB of RAM. Which seems to also mean that I'm definitely NOT unRAIDed, since the 32GB disk doesn't show in disk management.

Good. I would keep it like that.

That 8gb internal DISK0 is not your RAM.

Is your PC still under warranty, as I'd ask tech support what it is if so?

If not look at where you paging file is located now in Virtual Memory Paging File - Change - Vista Forums.

My paging file is at C:/pagefile.sys.

It's only showing 8gb of the cache SSD because the reset is used by Intel Rapid Start and is hidden:

It only shows up as 8GB because 22GB of that is dedicated to RapidStorage cache

There's definitely no flash drive in, although I do have a 32GB SD card in the card reader. I'm pretty sure it's not that since the size is wrong and I've seen the 8GB disk before I ever starting using the SD card. About a year ago I remember having some issue where the computer was recognizing a flash drive as a system disk, and I couldn't get it to stop displaying the flash drive as a disk even when the flash drive was not plugged into the computer. I did eventually get it to go away, although I don't remember how. Could the 8GB disk be some remnant from that?

My only issue with the MSATA configuration is that I assume without it I would have more total storage space. I do want to reinstall for other reasons, however.

Unless you wanted to install Win7 on the 32gb SSD (which we've helped do a few times) then you'll have no more space by unRAIDing the MSATA since the SSD would just go unused unless you'd format it to place your paging file there.
