Got it Greg I was looking at that.. The only reason I did a install on another partician is because the first install did not complete and I just wanted to see if it was going to work . First time failed as tried to go UEFI and had not followed the tutorial. So as it worked this time I just thought I whould play with it for a bit and do some things I might not noramly do to test some things I have been wondering about... Now that I see this is a legal stable version of 7 I will do the clean install as the OEM backup image is in at least 3 places now and all date backed up as well. As long as settings are right in BIOS, windows should automaticly partician as GPT. I keep secure boot unloaded till everything is installed and then I can load the three databases and boot into full UEFI with SECUREBOOT, NO COMPATABILITY MODE AT ALL. I get back to you after clean install about chipset drivers and windows update and a few other questions I might have. Appreciate all the help. Oh bye the way,,,, I just scored a really cool Dan Electro Bass from some dude at my storage facility...Yeeeeep

You may need some level of Compat in BIOS to install 7. Let us see all the choices if you have problems.

Yes during install combpatability will be on with UEFI O.S. also enabled. The BIOS is interesting after that. It lets me unload three data bases. Cant think of the names offhand. I can then install and windows will automaticly format in GPT.. At least in 8.1 it does. Hoping the same with 7... Then I can go back Reload the databases, and turn off compatability. There is also away to load the data bases to a usb device or reload from a usb back to the bios. Not sure yet what that is all about...

I'm not sure what you're referring to but before I'd do anything like that I'd read the Manual for the mobo/PC on its Support Downloads webpage. If you'll link the relevant passages back here we can look at it for you because it sounds highly unusual and interesting.
