    windows 7 sp1 will not install


    I need help getting windows 7 sp1 to install i have tryed most of the stuff found in the forums without success

    Hello Bill, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Please provide more details about what is happening and any error messages. Is this a retail or OEM copy of Windows, and is it an upgrade or full version? :)

    It is windows 7 home premium OEM full version i uploaded a couple files if these will help at all it the pack wont configure after reboot gets to 99% then fails and reverts

    Did you run all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Update to completion?

    Did you wait for it to come through on Windows Update?

    yes i have tryed a boot install installed all important updates are installed except sp1 all drivers are up to date comp is free of viruses

    Troubleshoot problems installing Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 - Windows Help

    In addition to temporarily turning off AV I'd deselect all items in msconfig>Startup and >Services after Hiding all MS Services. None of them are needed at boot anyway except AV

    installed the readiness tool ran the windows fix tool no issues were found i deselected everything and ran the standalone as admin still failed with same error

I swapped out the HDD on my wife's laptop with a new SSD, and did a fresh install of Windows 7. My wife liked the live mail, and the photo viewer, and had the 2009 version on the old system, I think. Anyway......you can only install the new Windows Essentials 2012, or it's individual...
This is what is happening. A friend gave me his DELL Inspririon 531 2007 Desktop. It has a pirated copy of 7 ultimate x64 (which I am not sure if this supports 64 bit). Prior to looking into how old the machine was, I was able to install 8.1 64 bit. But it wouldn't allow me to install any drivers...
I did a repair install of W7 Ult. x64 SP1. Applied all updates, but if fails to install IE10 update : 286642 (as you see it is a dutch version). If have run sure & sfc /scannow. Both report no problems. CBS files are attached. Please help ?
After I tried to make a dual boot with Ubuntu and Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), Windows now does not boot. I have tried to reinstall and repair the HDD but the disc fails to recognize my HDD (Western Digital Scorpio Black 500 GB). My HDD is Basic, has 3 primary partitions and 1 extended (3 logical)....
