Uninstall and go back to XP

I originally had XP, and decieded to try out the beta. I decided I wanted to go back though after the issues I experienced with my internet. Now I face the problem of uninstalling. I have no system restore points, which I believe is the norm. So here is my situation

I have copied the entire Window.old folder onto an external hard drive to back it up.

I have a disk that can install XP, but is from my computer manufacturer (Dell, Vostro) so when I try to restore it to factory settings, it will not take it.

What would be the fastest and easiest way to wipe Win7 from my hard drive and go back to XP? If you need more information, please ask.

    Thanks so much in advance,

    Charlie

Boot from your Dell CD, then format the drive and install Windows, but not before you've created backups of all important information...

perhaps it would be less trouble to fix the issues you are having with your internet than to format your system drive. just a thought

windows 7 is fantastic, you should give it a chance!

I agree, I would love to use 7, but I use a wireless USB connecter to get my internet and after about 4 hours of trying, it just won't work. If in the future they make my USB connector compatible, I will go back.

which one do you use? i have a Belkin Wireless G adapter, and it works fine with the latest Vista drivers. i actually had to install drivers for a slightly different model, but since then, i have not had a issue with it...
