Windows cannot boot and I cannot login into Safe Mode

The problem happened yesterday in my Lenovo laptop.
When Windows boot I get to the black screen with the Windows logo. Afterwards I get a black screen with only the cursor and nothing else. If I move the cursor a bit the screen dims, I still see the cursor (like the brightness goes full down).

I try to get to Safe Mode and it seems that it would work because I get to the blue login screen, but there I have another issue as neither the keyboard, nor the touchpad seem to work. So I can't login.
I connected a physical mouse to the USB port but again it doesnt seem to work in Safe Mode so I can login.
In BIOS the keyboard works just fine.

I tried F8 and then a repair but Windows did not find any problems and the problem persists. I believe that if I could somehow type and get in Safe Mode I could probably find what's wrong.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
