Error on all driver installs after clean install

Hi!

I need help . Just bought used computer dell xps 7100. Looks all in good shape. Installed win 7 home premium 64 bit from a usb I made with the windows iso and usb boot disk installer utility. Installation I think goes through fine but then I get errors on all driver install files like
The BIOS bin file is not for this system!

And I don't know what to do. I downloaded the drivers from dell by putting in my service code on the case.

Any help is appreciated! I downloaded the dell 32 bit diagnostics utility and ran that on express and everything was fine.

I tried reinstalling windows twice so far. I will post my computer specs as I get them.

Follow these same steps for a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which explains how drivers are handled in the first driver-complete OS. It is not at all like XP. The steps for drivers are printed in red so they can't be missed.

I read the clean install post you linked to. The drivers part basically just said keep installing drivers and rebooting until everything works... I don't think that will help me because I can't get any drivers to install. I noticed that there was an OEM reserved small portion of my hard drive that I was leaving each time. This time I deleted that too so I just have one unpartitioned drive that I am installing on. Will post back if that helps.

I got my computer with the 24in monitor for 250 which I am still hoping was a good deal!

Thanks for any help.

If you downloaded a bunch of drivers from Dell then you didn't really read the drivers steps in red in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. I'd read it again and this time pay attention to the steps in red.

Over a million users have followed those steps without a single complaint, all enjoying perfect installs of Win7 which never hesitate or degrade if you stick with the tools and methods in the tutorial.

I didn't download a whole bunch of random ones. I started with the bios driver, the network card driver and the graphics card driver. Which one of those do you think I should skip? Did I miss something else that helps me trouble shoot necessary drivers that aren't installing properly?

It explains this is the tutorial.

Wait to see what Windows Update delivers during all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Updates, after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3).

Keep checking for Updates until there are no more. Then check Device Manager for any that are missing and import only those.

Is there some reason I needed to type that out again? Why are you not following the tutorial steps which have worked for so many others?

I deleted all the partitions and did another install and still nothing works. BIOS and network adapter still say the wrong system.

The graphics card and chipset still just unpack and don't do anything. I look in the chipset folder and I don't see any executables or any setup type files. I am running out of ideas.

How am I supposed to run windows update if I don't have an network adapters?

Did you plug in by ethernet cable as it says in the tutorial to increase the chances it would start up ready to connect? Go ahead and do that now and enable auto-hardware updating to see if it loads the ethernet driver and connects.

If not what is the Service Tag number and the model extension number Dell XPS 7100-xxxx?
