    Hello,

First, mark your Windows 7 partition as active: Partition - Mark as Active

Then run startup repair: Repair Install

Where is the USB device from which to load SATA driver?

gang I just read the [or, one of the] tutorial on how to install SATA driver at beginning of installation, but despite the subtitle the tutorial does not address loading via usb device.
when I go to browse for my file, which is on a USB stick, the volume is not there, as though the Win7 install routine does not load a USB driver? surely not....
I searched this thread but can't find an exact ref to this issue.
this is a notebook of modern build so it hath no floppy, thankfully....

    help pls

If you ever get the "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing." error message at setup, try swap your USB device into another USB 2.0 port before changing SATA options in BIOS (.. you can use ImDisk disk driver btw as described here as an optional..),... I have 2 kind USB port (USB 3.0 and USB 2.0) in my Asus notebook and swapping it to another USB 2.0 port make setup never ask me the error again..

    sorry for my bad english..
