I'm having a similar issue. I get the error: "0x80070057" at the point of "Completing installation". The files expand and features install, but when I get to the point mentioned, I get this error message. I know that Intel doesn't officiall support my chipset (875P) for Windows 7 or Vista, but I am running Vista with no problems on a clean install. The error message states that Windows could not configure the boot manager. The disk I'm using is an OEM disk.

    Hello quicksilvr,

Please start your own thread. It is difficult to help many members posting in the same thread.

Where do we find the right drivers for the RAID-0 installs for the motherboards if we are not usre wat mother board we have. I used software that gave me a readout but I want to visually identify what it is so I know that I have the drivers for it.

    I have a Dell XPS 720

    Thanks for the help people.

    Hello, Chenzo.

Often times the computer manufacturers release their own custom drivers. Check the Dell site.

First I would like to thank you for the responce. I have been looking there but since they have my computer saved as a x32 version those are the drivers that come up. How would I look for the driver that I am going to need for the x64 bit version of 7 that I just got? I have downloaded the drivers from the manufactured structure that the hardware was based off of. Do you think that that would work?

I really do not know. Download Speccy and determine your hardware. Then Google for the drivers for that hardware.

Hi, for the 'missing CD/DVD-drivers' problem we had to delete the Dell rescue partition on a Dell Optiplex 760. Apperently w7 sees it as an optical drive.
