    Two Students, Two Downloads?

I've got twins. Both with college emails. We've upgraded one computer. Before running the install I copied all files to a jump drive. My question would be, do you have to download the files again or as long as you pay again and get the new product ID, can you use the same install files? Or is the download tied to the product ID in some manner?

In my opinion it would be best to download the files again to be safe, it isnt that big a download anyway.

Once you unlock all versions in the installation files "sources" folder by removing the file ei.cfg, then you only need either the 64 bit or 32 bit because all other files are the same. Just be sure to choose the version you purchased so that it will recognize the product key and activate. And only on one machine at a time!

You can use the same files as main times as needed. The KEY to install should only be used once.... if you want two computers working then you need two keys...

The KEYS are cheap enough just buy another KEY.

Yes, as long as it is same version since the keys are version-specific.

But as shown above, you can unlock all versions in the installer so you choose which one you are installing.

Dude, read the message I wrote! I never said anything about not buying another key! Was just trying to save a little download time.

    OK Just to clarify ...

If you have two valid purchased keys for the same version of the Operating system (Home Premium/ Professional Etc) then there is no need to download the installer more than once.

There is also no need to modify any files in the download, (which would be in breach of licence anyway IMO)
