I have received my windows 7 home premium by mail today. It came with 64bit and 32bit dvd. Can i go from 32bit to 64bit since I am planning to put 2gig x 3 chip versus 1gig x 4. ??what are the steps for a person with zero technical ????

hi and welcome to seven forums

The biggest hurdle in going from 32 bit to 64bit is that you must do a clean install. That means re-install of apps, etc.

If you want to do that its pretty easy from the re-install perspective. put dvd in player boot from dvd, and format HD and install

It's because your DVD is upgrade version not full version.

But don't panic. Follow the steps in
