Just follow this tutorial. Make sure you first save the user data - e.g. with a live Linux CD. If you need help with that, post back.

What exact error message do you get on boot? Any idea why it doesn't boot all of a sudden?

Just copy the files and folders with your stuff to an external devie - disk or flash drive.

@whs: Is partition corrupt, virus.... or whatever? Why do Clean install... if we don't know all symptoms yet.

It can be a small problem. Or even a faulty disk drive.

No reason to do a clean install yet in my opinion.

I am usually extremely hesitant with clean installs myself. But in this case I thought it was the fastest fix. But if you think we can find the culprits, I have no problem. Let's see what feedbacks we get from the OP.

What exactly did you make with your laptop? There is a big difference between making Recovery disks, a Repair CD for the OS, or an Installation DVD for the OS. If you made a Win7 Repair CD or installation disk for the same version (e.g. Home Premium 64 bit) then boot it now to see if it offers a repair. If not enter System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair or System Restore to see if it will start.

If not you can work through the other steps in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot or skip to rescuiing your files and then running Acer eRecovery Management - How To Restore Windows Using ALT - F10 - YouTube or doing a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.
