Dual boot. XP and Windows 7 RC on a logical drive

Hello,

I have several times installed Windows 7 RC on a logical drive in dual boot with Windows XP.

Problem:
--------
Some of the times - in Windows 7 RC - the XP C: drive appears as D: and the Windows 7 drive - installed on drive L: - appears as drive C:. Other times the XP drive appears as C: and the Windows 7 drive as L:, and that is the way I would like it to be, because my original E: drive contain many files which depend on correct drive/path reference and this drive now appears in Windows 7 AS the F: drive.

Question:
---------

What can I do - either without reinstalling Windows 7, or the next time I do reinstall it - to make sure that the XP drive apppears as C: and the Win 7 drive as L:

Many thanks for your time and help
