"Disk Boot Failure"
Just double-checking with you folks.
Before leaving for work this morning, I decided to take a couple of minutes to look in the BIOS of my newly-built computer. I haven't yet installed Windows 7--I'll do that tonight.
When I first turned on the machine, I got the notice about changing from IDE to AHCI. I did that. But before I had a chance to hit DEL and enter into the BIOS screens, the computer continued "booting". I got the notice of "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk & Press Enter". At that point I had to turn the computer off and head for work.
I'm assuming that the reason I got the message was because I hadn't yet changed the boot order and hadn't yet placed the Windows 7 DVD into the DVD drive. Correct? If not, is there another problem?
