Sorry for the long delay mate. Vista is available to download for free from "Digital River" site but the issue is my net is crap and it is really hard for me to download 3.5 GB sized ISO !.Get that vista dvd yet? I would really like to know how to put vista on a 7 disc plus I couldn't find out how to do it by searching the internet.
In the meantime please try "Wintoolkit" which claims to be able to create an all in one disc including both Vista and 7.

The tool seems to have great reputation among geeks.
I'll wait for you because I actually don't want any windows 7 images on it just vista. I just want to use the 7 media disc to put my vista images on. I really wouldn't care so much about it but the problem is that my original vista disc with all the versions on it is like really slow switching from one setup screen to another. The original was fine but after I added the other ones making it AIO then it was slow switching screens. Tested it on a real pc and vm, same issue. Thats why I want to see if I put it on a 7 disc if the problem will go away.
Do you need Vista install media? Best to get it with SP2 already integrated. If so, what language?
You can make aio in many ways. Windows setup.exe is not needed for clean install. Anything which can apply an image will do. Even 7-zip will work for copying the contents of a wim to a drive.
Imagex has not been abandoned, it is just that most imagex functions are now included in Dism. Imagex is still useful. I mostly use the newest version of win7 imagex, which few are aware of.
I have an original retail vista disc with sp2 already integrated, that was the source of my new AIO disc.
What is it that you want now exactly? You have the attention of SIW2 who is a professor here.
I dont know what your deal is with me gregrocker but right above SIW2 I clearly state what I am trying to accomplish and I would appreciate it if you would leave either SIW2 to help me or Anshad who originally started helping me with this vista disc thing which he/she said they are working on it and would get back to me. Thank you. What is it that you want now exactly?
I was trying to help you when its completely unclear what you mean by putting Vista on your Win7 disk, but then saying you don't want any Win7 files.
If you want the help of the top people in the field then you'll need to be clearer and more respectful. SIW2 developed many of the fixes and workarounds which are now standard for Win7 and came out of these forums. It is rare you'll get his attention these days.
Unsubscribed.
I'm sorry it had to be this way but I took that as kind of snotty and if thats not how you intended it then I apologize, this is a prime example of a disadvantage of the internet. What is it that you want now exactly?
