Install error, now what do I do?

I'm trying to upgrade my Toshiba (Satellite) Vista to W7 Home Prem. edition.

Everything seemed to be going well until the end and I entered into (any) user account. W7 started to prepare the user account...suddenly I get a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error...that's it...no help at all? Restarted and got the error Stop 0x000000A at about same place. Gee's, this was supposed to be a simple install now; stupid MSFT.

I have 2 other computers I wanted to upgrade but now...?

Help would be appreciated; I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Please update your specs - the link is in my profile. Without knowing the hardware, we can't begin to guess on what might be the problem.

Have you reviewed any of the sticky posts in the install board?

Remove the external monitor and try again...
