windows 7 starter 32bit install problem

    hello
    i have a samsung nc10 netbook

i have made a boot usb with windows 7 starter 32bit on it and its loading fine

however when i get to the install i am getting a problem

where it asks me where id like to install windows all i have is:

    disk:0 unallocated space 150 gb

or if i click "new" it then becomes

disk:0 partition 1 150gb and has primary as the type

whenever i click next on either option i get the same message

"setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. see the setup log files for more information"

anyone know how i can resolve this please?

    thank you in advance

On the entire hard drive you are speaking about - Do you have any data at all that you want to keep?

Or is it ok that you lose everything on it and that is no problem?

Hi glennplant, and welcome to Windows Seven Forums!

If you find where the "setup log files" were saved, they would help explain this error.

Others have experienced difficulty with ACPI when installing 7. Here is a link to a Samsung thread:

Samsung Netbook Community: Forums / Windows 7 / ACPI error on Install

    Hope this is helpful?
