Startup repair wont boot up
I was installing a system image in windows7 and my pc froze up and I needed to restart but after that it just said operating system is missing. I can not get my PC to boot a startup repair disk made from my other pc running windows 7..... on a new dvd 16xrecordable. The PC just says No Boot Device Available. I can not find my original windows 7 disk.
I want to try and reload my system image on D drive that is unaffected but I can not get windows repair to load. I have my DVD drive set to be the first boot drive.
I followed the Directions exactly as seen here Create a System Repair Disc in Windows 7
My PC wont load the startup repair DVD Recordable disc that was created.
Would it be possible to put the startup repair files on a USB DRIVE and then set my first boot device to be the external USB drive?
The same startup repair disk works on the pc it was created, but not on the broken PC. I am wondering if my dvd drive on my broken pc is also broken or if the C drive is too corrupted from been disturbed during a system image operation.
