@whs, question if I may, should I make seperate partitions on my clean HDD. Partition for bobsmusic, partition for bobsdocuments, etc. ?

No extra partition per folder. Just 1 data partition and then the individual folders mentioned above in there.

When you move your stuff from the SSD to the HDD, Pay attention in Documents. There may be some that are not your stuff but were generated by some program. Leave those on the SSD.

Here is the example of the program generated folders in my system. You will not have the same (if any) but that is just an example.

Alright, I think that since my SSD can boot on its own and runs without HDD connected, ready to move on. Going to wipe the HDD using the tutorial Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command as suggested by gregrocker. Then, if all goes well with that, will create a new data partition and as suggested by whs create new folders to move doc. music, etc to.

Before I do what I said above, if anyone thinks it's wrong chime in please.

Use only Clean, not Clean All which would write a bunch of zeros on your disk and may take forever. Just Clean will be only a few seconds. All it does is manipulate the control files like the MFT (master file table).

ok, but will still have to use the elevated command prompt right, or it won't let me get rid of the operating system. Right?

If you do it in command prompt, yes. But you could also just delete the partitions with Partition Wizard or even easier reformat the disk - but that only if there are not other partitions with precious data on the disk.
