In your disk management shot, where is the image you created located, on which disk and on what partition ?

Will do, and I will post results. BTW, I was much better, more dexterous at your age too.

Just so you know I used, Macrium Reflect and mini partition wizard when doing what I did. Both free versions.

So you did not use Macrium to create an image earlier ? This was strictly a clone ?

I think I have an image saved on my book (J) as a back up. Cloning was used when putting system and C on SSD from HDD. This computer works, problem is it works the same as always. Was expecting a faster boot and application access. Nothing has changed it's as if a SSD was not installed.

Are you booting from the SSD, your shot of disk management shows you are still booted into the hard drive.

Did you dis connect the hard drive yet.

Can you boot into the ssd on it`s own ok ?

When you boot into the ssd it will be C.

Bios is set to boot, CD/DVD, SSD, HDD. So, I would have to say it is booting from SSD. No I didn't disconnect the HD yet. this is my main computer, will do in the morning when I get another to use. In case this turns out bad.

Use the 1 time boot menu key to boot into the ssd, then post a shot of disk management please.

I asked if you unplugged the hard drive so we can see if the ssd boots on it`s own.

Appreciate that, and was going to do that. I have read it before. Problem is I did not install the SSD properly. Physically is okay, but cloned it wrong. Followed whs here. https://discuss.howtogeek.com/t/new-...allation/23565
