    Installation problems with partitioning

    Hi all, good morning!

I needed to a do a fresh Windows 7 installation on a 128GB SSD last night.

When I got to the "How do I install Windows" screen I had my SSD and 2 mechanical drives on the screen and tried to choose the SSD, but got the "Setup was unable to create a new system partition" error.

I followed the instructions on a few of the threads here using DISKPART but the error didn't go away. I then tried it on one of my 2GB drives which took a good few hours but the problem remains. Both drives have been through the process of clean / partition / format as described on here.

Here is a picture of the screen I am faced with at the minute (hopefully attached).

Is there something fundamental that I have missed? I am using an install disc rather than a USB if that's relevant?

    Thanks!

Delete all those partitions using the Drive Options in bottom right corner, then create new, format and select the first large partition after the small boot partition the installer will create. What happens.
