Windows 7: How to set SATA configuration to AHCI

I specified the Paging File which is shown clearly on another drive in the Disk Management screenshot. Follow Change Virtual Memory Paging File to turn it off and back on for C.

I also said that you may need to first establish the SSD as the Primary hard drive before it will appear in the Boot Order list. Check the other BIOS settings for Storage or Hard Drives to see if there is a setting to do this. Enable AHCI, Save Settings and Exit, then boot back into BIOS setup to look at every setting for the SSD to see if it needs to be set there as Primary drive first. What hard drive appears in the Boot Priority list when you set to AHCI and Save? This is likely the one presently set as Primary HD.
